We all get a little blue sometimes, and the holidays can be an especially challenging time for many people. Maybe there's too much to do, or everyone around you is super cheery and you're just not feeling it. No need to explain or excuse it - let yourself feel it.
I've been known to talk to myself (sometimes I mumble out loud, sometimes it stays in my head - no judging!) and mantras are one of my favorite ways to redirect my mind when it's going places I don't want to.
Notice what you're thinking when you're stressed, and see if you can change some negative messages into positive mantras.
I love this list of mantras from Always Well Within and I REALLY love the below mantras because they're
1) simple and to the point, and
2) make me think of great songs.
Try not to smile, I dare you. And singing has been shown to improve mood so you get double the punch!
Let it be. (or my favorite - Let it go.)
Don't worry, be happy.
Take it easy.
Everything is going to be alright.
